When you first come up to Ediza lake from below, follow the trail around the lake counterclockwise until you work your way around the very large rock outcropping. There are some great campsites up above the lake hidden in the trees. It would be about 3-4 O'Clock or so. At Thousand Island Lake there are some outstanding sites on the small island like penninsulas. There are a few more great ones all along the right side of the lake, just a few yards up above the lake. It's kind of nice being a little higher up, you get a tremendous view of Banner and the ridge behind you blocks the prevailing wind.

Anthony, I've listened repeatedly to the 3-part podcast and the 2-part podcast about your trips into the Ansel Adams Wilderness and have decided to make a trip of it. I'm going to re-trace your footsteps somewhat, heading from Agnew Meadows to Ediza, then to Thousand Island Lakes, then back down the High Trail. I was wondering if you would mind sharing some recommendations for the best campsites at Ediza and either Thousand Island Lake or Emerald Lake (not sure if you can camp at Emerald Lake).

Anyway, anything you can share, would be appreciated. Keep up the great work, my wife and I both enjoy your work.

Currently there is not, except for the Mt. Whitney Podcast that I've uploaded separately. I plan on reloading most of my older episodes to my new server. You might be able to go to the old server at anthonysaudiojournal.mypodcast.com and search through the archives to find them and download them directly. Here's the URL for the Mt. Whitney Podcast thats one of my favorites but it's pretty long, about 50 minutes.

Cut & Paste

Thanks for the comment

Just came across your podcasts. They are great. One question: is there a way to get the older ones that are not in iTunes or on you website?
