Episode 81 Cucamonga Peak Day Hike

September 30, 2011

LISTEN

Bighorn Sheep near Icehouse Saddle

In this episode, Gerry, Dave and I take a hike up Icehouse Canyon to visit the summit of CucamongaPeak, one of the tallest and most prominent Peaks in the Los Angeles Basin.  At an elevation of 8859 feet, it sets itself apart from nearby Ontario Peak and others overlooking the southland, and its sheer drop to the west affords a magnificent view over southern California.

    Hey Anthony,
Thanks for all the effort you put into entertaining me with your podcasts and YouTube channel. I’ve been a subscriber for a long time and I though it was about time I said thanks. I have been writing an “Adventure Journal” for years and recently got a little blog & YouTube thing going (in no small part thanks to watching guys like you). I think you might find it interesting:

Thanks Jeff, I checked out your blog and Youtube channel and it’s great. My niece just moved up to Washington from Las Vegas and couldn’t be happier, much better place to raise two young boys who love the outdoors. Her husband is a firefighter in Tukwila. I’m packing up tonight and tomorrow for the trip up to Yosemite on Tuesday. Rain and snow are expected. It will be quite the adventure. I’ll keep you posted. Keep up the good work.
